Descriptions

The Model LXR-2000 Erbium-doped Fiber Amplifier is a highly reliable Rack Mount EDFA. The EDFA provides high output power, low noise figure, wide operating range and gain flatness for both analog and digital transmission. The unit may be used as a power booster, in-line amplifier or as a pre amplifier in both digital and CATV application. The EDFA uses state-of-the-art 980/1480 nm pump laser diodes and a high quality erbium-doped optical fiber to achieve output power from + 13 dBm upto 21 dBm. PIN photo diodes, microprocessor control, and monitoring circuits are incorporated into the gain module, allowing the input power, output power to be accurately monitored and send the alarm signal to the alarm pin located on back panel. Status indicator LED's provide real-time information on input power, output power, pump LD current, pump LD temperature, EDFA temperature and power supply channels. The unit can supply two separate EDFAs in one rack to save space and maintenance process. Dual power supply also provided to power emergency mode.
