Origin

Flowers of the pine tree blossom just once for 10~13 days from early May through early June. The shaked flower powder is put in water and foreign substances are removed. Only the floating powder is collected and dried completely under the shadow. That powder is called pine pollen.  The pine pollen contains more effective essentials than the royal jelly has and is considered a very valuable health food.  Its various pharmaceutical effects were written in the Korean and Chinese medical books such as Donguibogam Jungakdaesajeon, Bonchogyeonghae and Bonchogangmok.
