They have mechanical strength as required by ISO 3903 and ISO 1751 (side scuttles)
Their mechanical strength does not rely on spacers between the different layers of glass
They are efficiently protected against UV rays by UV-stop film
A-0 fire-rated maritime windows
DNV requires all new supply ships with a Fi-Fi class rating to be equipped with A-0 windows. This requirement includes the wheelhouse as well as cabins. The window is made acc.to Polish and international standards .
It is of steel frame, glass list and fireproof glass .
Glass list is screwed to the frame. A space between glass pane and the frame is filled with fire–
proof insulation. A fire–proof glass pane is 10 mm thick . If the customer wish himself another
thickness glass pane, it should be stated at the order.
Window frame is protected of epoxy primer thick. 40 mm. The place covered of insulation is
protected of painting set which consists a three epoxy layers of total thick. 100 mm.
