Built on the Trimble Maxwell 6 GNSS chip, the SPS882 is available in a range of options to suit your construction applications, flexibility and performance requirements.
Applications:
The Trimble SPS882 Smart GPS Antennas can be used as either a rover for site measurement and stakeout, or as a base station for site measurement and machine control operations. Rover set up is fast and easy-just switch on the receiver, start up the controller and you're ready to go!
Because the GPS receiver, GPS antenna, radio, radio antenna and battery are integrated into one housing, you don't have to deal with cables and multiple components.
Easy set up and use mean the SPS882 is ideal for:
* Cut / Fill determination
* Stakeout of site or road features, utilities, daylight lines and side slopes
* Site measurements for progress and material stockpile computations
* Grade checking
The Trimble SPS882 is powered by advanced Trimble R-Track technology and supports a wide range of satellite signals, including GPS L1, L2, L2C, L5 and GLONASS L1/L2.
Compact, all in one solution
With integrated GNSS receiver, GNSS antenna, radio and battery, the SPS882 is ideal for site rover or rapid setup mobile base station.
Bluetooth connection
No cables needed for connection to controller, removes the chance of the SPS882 snagging on obstructions.
20Hz upgrade
High data update rate for use on vehicles, allows the SPS882 to be used as a Site Supervisor System. More uses onsite means quicker return on investment.
Flexibility
Can be used as base or rover, a pair of receivers can be used together as a base and rover, split to be two rovers or two bases depending on the requirement. The SPS882 gives you more options on to operate on site.
GNSS
With 220 channels, CMRx as well as the ability to track GPS, GLONASS and Galileo Giove A and Giove B, the SPS882 is a future proofed investment in positioning technology.
Construction tough
Survives 2m pole drop onto concrete. The SPS882 is made for harsh construction environments.
VRS compatible
The SPS882 can be used as a rover inside a VRS network. This removes the need for base station and maintains high accuracy as baseline lengths are kept short.
Scalability
Rover accuracy options at 10/10, 10/2 or Precision RTK as well as base only, rover only or base/rover capability and all signal options makes the SPS882 attractive to a wide range of on site users. Choice of construction controllers (TCA1, TSC2 or Trimble Tablet) provides you with choices and application software options.
