As a lover of vintage speakers over 30 years, I decided making them myself that fit all other "vintage sound' lovers, and from 2002 onward I have been fabricating full-range speaker drivers for 14 years.
In 2005 SOM-R1, full-range bookshelf model with 6.5" driver was selected 'Audio Of The Year' by 11 audio reviewers of 'Hifi Journal', a leading audio journal that time.
Lean production, as is usually in the case in other craft goods,
20 pairs a day is maximum(FR-653 plus FR-8).
Looks of drivers are not very clean-cut or neat.Up to now since 2005, SOM's home page has been visited by 400,000 audiophiles and daily clicks onto the page reach 100 or more.
‘SOM’ stands for 'Sound Of Music'.
