Cylinder lens are typically used to focus the incoming light to a line, or to change the ration of an image. Cylinderical lenses have a single cylinderical surface that causes the incoming light to be focused in only a single demension,stretching the image. Cylinder lens are avaliable in positive or negative focal length, ideal for laser line generation anamorphic beam shaping to circularize laser outputs.
