Zirconia ceramic plunger piston provide excellent erosion, corrosion and abrasion resistance along with temperature resistance, fracture toughness and strength. These ceramic components are used in extreme service applications that take advantage of their superior wear and corrosion resistance, such as all kinds of pump part, including the oil pump, water pump, mud pump, Oil drilling equipment and so on. Zirconium oxide (ZrO2 –also known as zirconia) is a material with very high resistance to crack propagation, very high thermal expansion and are therefore often the material of choice for joining ceramic and steel.
