CANTARE SE is a transfomer drive preamplifier.

Transformer drive preamplifier has a lot of devotees with its unique attractive timbre, however it is not common to use right trans preamplifier.
A preamplifier which uses unqualified transformer reproduces most medium range but not well in low and high range, especially it is worse in such transformers which had been designed for communication device or voice amplification.
Some devotee trusts a transformer which might be a vintage product regardless of application irrationally, but the preamplifier using such transformer mostly emphasizes medium and high range excessively.
CATARE, developed considering such reality, sustains transformer drive preamplifier unique timbre providing flowing sound quality with low signal distortion.
No clipping occurs in preamplifier under any event by achieving non-clip 53V in this circuit.

Proofing is: Non-clip output voltage / gain of amplifier = allowable input voltage
** 53/ 12.5= 4.24V = 4,240mV

I.e., clipping will occur when input I 4,240mV by input of CATARE SE, but practically it is very difficult to output 4,240mV from source device.
It is the reason that this product is evaluated as very vacuum tube timbre by the non-damping of unique harmonic vacuum tube through perfect one-way configuration.
As CANTARE outputs through balance so if you have balance type power amplifier you can operate it by balance.
There are 4 systems of unbalance input terminal left side and unbalance output terminal and balance output terminal are in the middle.
