PRINCIPLE OF THE EXAMINATION METHOD
The test uses a monoclonal anti-human NT-proBNP antibody conjugated with colloidal gold and two polyclonal anti-human NT-proBNP antibodies coated on the test lines. After the sample (serum, plasma or whole blood) has been applied to the test strip, the gold-labelled monoclonal anti-human NT-proBNP antibody binds to the NT-proBNP in sample and forms a marked antigen-antibody complex. This complex moves to the test card detection zone by capillary action. Then marked antigen-antibody complex is captured on the test lines by the polyclonal anti-human NT-proBNP antibodies resulting in one or two purplish red streaks appear on the test lines. The color intensity of the test lines increases in proportion to the NT-proBNP concentration.

One Step Test for NT-proBNP (Colloidal Gold) applies colloidal gold immunochromatography to detect N-terminal B-type natriuretic peptide precursor (NT-proBNP) in serum, plasma or whole blood samples semi-quantitatively with standard colorimetric card. This test is used as an aid in the clinical diagnosis, prognosis and evaluation of Heart Failure (HF).
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
1. For In-Vitro diagnostic use.
2. For use by healthcare professionals.
3. Do not use the kit beyond the expiry date printed on the outside of the box.
4. Keep the test card in the sealed pouch until ready to use. Discard after single use.
5. The pipette should be used for one sample only. Discard after single use.
6. Patient samples, used test card and pipettes may be potentially infectious. Proper handling and disposal methods should be established in accordance with local regulations.
7. Carefully follow the instructions and procedures described in this manual.
