1. What is E-COB?

The COB stands for Chip On Board, which is analog ASIC typed HIC. IC and core components for ELB are integrated in this HIC.The processes for this HIC are as follows;

  • First, the wafer stated IC was wire-bonded to PCB
  • Second, Epoxy-molded
  • Third, Chip mount of core external components

Compare to conventional type, It has cost competitive power with simple design and compact size. As the core components are integrated in COB, the great quality mass production can be conducted so the core components failure rate can be minimized As the mass productivity is excellent by product process efficiency, the set maker will love this COB. It can be adopted by ELB for the control circuit part. It's strong points are compact size and cost effectiveness. It is the core circuit for the controller whose function is to prohibit from fire and electric shock by detecting. The leakage current of home and industrial equptments.

3. COB2005-A

Descriptions

The COB2005-A is designed for use in earth leakage circuit interrupters for operation directly off the AC line in breakers. It's contains pre regulator, main regulator, after regulator, differential amplifier, level comparator, latch circuit, capacitors and resistors. The input in the differential amplifier is connected to the secondary node of zero current transformer. The level comparator generates high level when earth leakage current is greater than some level
