Polarization-Maintaining Optical Fiber, PMF
Transmitting linearly polarized light, PMF is widely used in various economic fields such as aviation, spaceflight, navigation, industrial manufacture, communication and etc.. In the interference-based fiber-optic sensor, PMF maintains the polarization of signals and improves SNR, and hence the precise measurement of physical parameters is realized.
Three types of PMF fibers such as Bow-tie PMF, Elliptical Cladding PMF and Photonic Crystal PMF are available in BGRI.
