What's sponge?
Sponge is the most primitive multi cellular animals, have been living 200 million years ago in the sea, so far has grown to more than 10000, accounting for 1/15 of the Marine animals, is a vast ocean "family", most of them live in the Marine intertidal to 8500 meters (28000 feet) deep.
Not all sponges live in the ocean, there are around 20 kinds of needle sponge (also called freshwater sponge) living in fresh water, commonly live in clean lake and gentle streams. They are with soft structure and grow into bag shell or branch of briquette. People usually found them on aquatic plant's branches and leaves as well as on stones, due to the surface of the algae, often present the color such as yellow, brown or green.
What's sponge spicules?
Spongilla spicule is a kind of siliceous extract from freshwater sponge. Fresh water sponge, it looks very soft, always be mistaken for a plant by most people, in fact, it is a kind of animal, and even be an animal which have skeleton and bones. Due to the particularity of its growth environment, Freshwater sponges gradually evolved the special bone, that's just be spongilla spicules which is a kind of siliceous spicules, very small, but has a stronger hardness, for supporting the sponge body and resisting the enemy's invasion. Spongilla spicules constituted by hard protein and heteronuclear hard protein, do not dissolve in any kind of organic solution, therefore, can be used as a kind of ideal natural materials in cosmetics and skin peeling curing.
Freshwater sponges, usually attached to grow on the branches and corrupt leaves, the floating beings in the water and some parasitic algae, they will be salvaged with freshwater sponges together. But only the spongilla spicules are really will be used by. Other impurities are not beneficial to the skin, even cause skin allergies and infection. The application of spongilla spicules?

In 2016 beginning, we extracted the spongilla spicules wth purity over 92% successfully, and the purity is up to 98%-99% if water removed.
