The Spiral cleaning roller is well suited to the mining, quarrying and process industries, where build-up on return rollers causes belt damage and mis-tracking.
 
Spiral cleaning rollers are resilient and wear-resistant polyurethane spirals that help to clean off sticky carry-back in conveyor systems. Consisting of a standard return roller fitted with wear resistant polyurethane rings, the spiral in left and right hand configuration assist in belt tracking with the unit positioned over the discharge chute or a collection hopper.
 
Spiral cleaning rollers may be employed on any part of the return belt section in short conveyors while it is beneficial to employ them on long sections only up to the point where the material does not adhere any more to the belt surface. These rollers should not be employed as snub rollers adjacent to the drive or return drums.
