Product Information
MID-C601 is a surfactant solution designed for use ahead of cement slurries to separate them from oil based drilling mud.it also helps wash residual mud from the formation and pipe and renders the surfaces water wet. MID-C601 will aid in thinning the mud which will reduce the chances of channeling by following fluids.
MID-C601 helps to achieve good mud removal and bonding of the cement to the pipe and formation. Due to the low viscosity of MID-C601 turbulent flow can be achieved at low pump rates giving increased channels of mud removal and bonding.
As with any chemical wash MID-C601 must be pumped in turbulent flow to maximize its mud removal potential. Generally a volume of MID-C601 that will provide a 500ft column of wash in the annulus ahead of the cement slurry is recommended.
