KITA launched the global e-Market Place, http://www.tradekorea.com, for export companies on April 8th, 2008. After that, corporations at home and abroad have accessed the website over five thousand times a day. KITA also held a seminar to inform people how to use the site and to let them know the export development plan utilizing e-business like Alibaba, e-Bay, Google and so on. The seminar on Online Market Development was held on April 17th, 2008 at an auditorium in COEX which was flooded with applications from many export companies and achieved great success as almost 1200 staffs attended the monumental meeting. 

At the seminar, KITA introduced as the followings:

the introduction of tradeKorea(Global e-Market Place of KITA) international market development strategy such as alibaba, EC21 and so on
the way to use e-Market Place international marketing strategy using web search engines like Google successful cases of the online exportation using ebay and so on

 

 

Won-Ho Choi, manager in charge of the e-Service Team stated, "This seminar was able to accomplish great success because of companies’ huge concerns about the online market development, which means that it makes easy to find buyers and to cut down marketing expenses.” And he added that KITA are considering holding lecturing tours for local corporations"
Meanwhile, KITA and ebay launched into supporting international marketing with up-to-date methods making it possible to export by B2C. KITA has decided that they will choose potential exporting products and corporations, help to create an English website and pay a part of product registration and PR expenses. Moreover, they have stationed special officers for companies as a member of KITA and brought in the new business of export support using ebay.
