Description

AVANTE injection contains the sodium salt of ceftiofur which is a broad spectrum antibiotic effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria including β-lactamase producing microorganisms. Like other cephalosporins, ceftiofur is bactericidal by inhibition of cell wall synthesis.

In particular, AVANTE injection is often used for new born piglet colibacillosis, pleuropneumonia, pasteurella-pneumonia of weaning pig, calf pneumonia and shipping fever caused by pasteurella.
