HWAYO 25

│ Material │

Unlike diluted soju that creates their taste with artificial additives, HWAYO 25° comes with an absolutely
smooth flavor crafted using the advanced reduced-pressure distillation method
While the traditional distillation method leaves disturbing tastes of sweetness and bitterness due to the usage of extremely hot heat, this new method, which enables to reduce the internal pressure of distiller, allows liquor to be distilled under lower heat leaving softer flavor and aroma.

Company introduction

Meaning of HWAYO

HWAYO is a traditional Korean liquor made from rice.

Artfully crafted by the Kwangjuyo Corporation using only the finest ingredients, HWAYO is recognized for its sophistication and elegant simplicity. When paired with traditional Korean food and pottery manufactured by Kwangjuyo, the beverage embodies the essence of Korean culture.

Kwangjuyo uses organic rice and pure water drawn from deep underground to make HWAYO a drink of superior quality and taste. Combining traditional techniques with modern technology, Kwangjuyo ages HWAYO with a minimum of one year in a traditional Korean pottery while using acoustic vibrations to strengthen the aroma and flavor of the beverage. The result comes to be a refined liquor, unlike anything else available today.

Try HWAYO today and discover the taste of the real Korean liquor.

Noble liquor governed by fire, HWAYO

The name HWAYO (火堯) was made by dividing the Chinese character So() of Soju(燒酒). Hwa() means fire and Yo() means high and noble object. Earth() which could be divided from Yo() expresses the sprit of HWAYO.

How do we describe HWAYO Soju?

To understand HWAYO, you must first understand its unique characteristic and history. HWAYO is the product of more than 700 years of history, yet it still manages to represent the freshness of the moment.

Carefully crafted using the finest ingredients and techniques, HWAYO is a spirit embodying the sentiments of Korean culture.

The elegant bottle, pure design and layered richness of Kwangjuyo HWAYO Soju combine to deliver an unparalleled experience of taste.

HWAYO is more than a distilled liquor made from the finest ingredients available. It represents a privilege of taste embodying
the sentiments of Korea, from the fabulous cuisines to the refined arts handed down through generations.

> Distillation

HWAYO is made of using a vacuum distillation method.

(low temperature distillation)

> Ongi maturation

HWAYO inherits a heritage of 700 years while still working to keep the freshness of the moment. The inherent flavor of nature kept in Korean earthenware, Ongi, makes HWAYO a spirit filled with Korean sentiment.

> Bottle Design

The HWAYO bottle features intimately connected curves with simple, classical elegance and a shape reminiscent of peony blossoms.

The design honors the heritage of Korea with a willow-patterned Jungbyung and celadon ceramics.
