Main switchboard consists of the generator board, synchronous board, 440V distribution board and 220V distribution board. The MSBD is an assembled equipment of electrotechnical components. It is directly supplied by the main source of electrical power and is intended to distribute electrical energy to the ship service. In addition to receiving, measuring and distribution of electrical energy, it is used for protection of the network from overload, short-circuit and current leak.

All the electricity used by ships is produced by generators.

The generated electricity can be controlled by main switchboard(MSBD) and the switchboard distribute the electricity to motors and other required loads. 

According to the quantity of loads, the number of generators can be determined whether 1 or 2 generators are needed. If necessary, the loads of generators can be adjusted or changed considering the circumstances.

In general, main switchboard consists of generator panel, Bus tie, Synchro, 440V Feeder Panel, 220V Feeder Panel, Group Starter Panel.

The size of panel can be designed and customized for the user depending on the generator capacity and the quantity of load.

All circuits are configured with an interlock system to protect against short circuit accidents in the system.

It can be designed to be accessible from the front or back for maintenance.
