A person in charge in the CBT matching team of Trade Korea received the request of supporting a Japanese buyer from the Korea-Japan Cooperation Foundation for Industry and Technology as he would visit Korea. We have continued to exchange with the applicable foundation about product inquiries and support of Japanese interpretation since 2016. It has matched many Korean companies including automobile parts and conditioning equipment with other countries.

This buyer asked for finding a sandpaper supplier to process glass works as the company which imports, and distrbutes glass processing machinery and subsidiary materials. Therefore, a person in charge of Trade Korea arranged meetings with 3 Korean companies. The Japanese buyer placed a sample order in the spot and expressed his gratitude to Trade Korea. The person in charge of Trade Korea promise the buyer to introduce other items to him after checking his quick decision and purchasing power.

The buyer who went back to Japan asked for support saying that the trading company which had helped purchase work in Korea severed contact with him unilaterally. Accordingly, he asked for support saying that he has difficulties in finding the Korean companies who had discussed purchasing. Therefore, we found and introduced Fine Tech Co., Ltd. the diamond pad company to him.

The buyer again visited Korea and arranged meetings with three companies including Fine Tech Co., Ltd. The Korean companies showed their intentions to refuse transactions because the past trading companies by force lowered the prices and were suddenly out of contact. When a 8-inch pad of the size that the buyer wants is made from a diamond sheet, a small pad is produced from the remained sheet. It's because the existing trading company refused to take over this. They told me that it is difficult for Korean companies to respond unless the applicable inventory is treated.

The past trading company did not inform the buyer of this content. And the buyer promised the Korean company to make an effort to reduce inventory by purchasing 50 sheets per order. And the person in charge of matching and the person in charge of the Korea-Japan Cooperation Foundation for Industry and Technology promised the Korean company to support interpretation and export to continue the applicable transactions. After that, the Korean company sent an estimate to the buyer. And the deal was concluded after amending it several times.

The buyer did not know what to do because the trading company was out of contact. But the buyer was reconnected to the manufacturer through this support of the trade association. And the buyer expressed his gratitude about receiving the products at a cheap price. Fine Tech Co., Ltd got to review the cultivation of the overseas markets in the future because it got to export the products to other country directly this time even though it had undefinedly thought of it as a difficult job.
