A company in Mongolia made an inquiry about manufactures of adhesive bandages in South Korea via tradeKorea’s Global Business Matching Service (GBMS). The company’s buyers supply quasi-drugs to pharmacies and drug stores in Mongolia and were looking for South Korean companies that could manufacture adhesive bands with various size.

The officer in tradeKorea in charge of matching an appropriate South Korean product to a foreign client introduced a number of local companies to the buyers from Mongolia and they expressed the most interest in Neo-Medical’s product. The buyers stated that they wanted to modify the design of Neo-Medical’s PVC adhesive bandage which the company is providing for pharmacies in South Korea before importing the modified one to Mongolia.

Soon after, the buyers paid an advance and Neo-Medical started to develop a draft design of the modified product. One month later, its design was complete and the buyers decided to visit South Korea to check the product before paying the balance.

The buyers saw firsthand how the product made of non-woven fabrics was manufactured at a plant. And in particular, they showed great confidence in Neo-Medical’s thorough sterilization process during manufacturing. The newly designed product package had a neat design with product description in English while showing that the country of manufacture was South Korea. The buyers were satisfied with the design, saying that the product was designed as they desired.

The buyers also expressed intention to buy acne patches, toothpastes, hydrocolloid patches, and sports bands manufactured by Neo-Medical. And before long, the product was safely delivered to the buyers.
