Established in 2018, JeongWon FD is a trading company that specializes in exporting consumer goods for Korean small and medium-sized companies and mid-cap enterprises. CEO Hui-su Lim established the company to achieve win-win outcomes with manufacturers that lack marketing and overseas sales capabilities by introducing excellent products in various categories, such as cosmetics, health foods, chemical products, and household goods to overseas buyers. JeongWon FD’s competitiveness lies in their prompt response and more expedited and accurate sourcing over its competitors.

Currently, JeongWon FD's main export destination is Southeast Asian market, which has the advantage of being geographically close to South Korea without much of a time difference. The future goal is to enter the North American, European, and Central and South American markets on the heels of the Southeast Asian market. The company’s ambition is to achieve more solid external growth than now while also accelerating the achievement of its goals.

Received tradeKorea Inquiry and Completed Transaction with Target Buyer through Prompt Response

JeongWon FD’s target buyer is Hong Kong-based Company J, a Hong Kong household goods distributor with annual sales of USD 200 million and more than 1,000 employees. After JeongWon FD had exhausted nearly every possible route to secure business with the target to no avail, it decided to register for the Korea International Trade Association's tradeKorea Buyer Matching program. It just happened that the relevant Hong Kong buyer had sent an inquiry through tradeKorea in January 2023 expressing a will to make a purchase of Korean air conditioner cleaners, and tradeKorea matching team arranged a consultation that led to promptly identifying and matching JeongWon FD up with their side.
With the support of tradeKorea, JeongWon FD received an initial order of 32,000 units from the buyer, leading to an initial contract for more than USD 60,000. Afterwards, thanks to a greater demand for the product, a follow-up order for another 22,000 units of air conditioner cleaners came in, with a second sealed contract for over USD 40,000. Currently, the buyer is discussing purchases of other product items, such as detergents and shampoos, from JeongWon FD.

With the support of the Korea International Trade Association, we were able to complete the deal we sought with the Hong Kong-based distributor. We wish to express our gratitude to the personnel in-charge and many others who have worked diligently on our behalf. Many domestic consumer goods companies aspire to enter the Southeast Asian market, but it requires plenty of time and capital to do so on their own devices. Given this, it makes us proud to be selected as the primary vendor by the target Hong Kong buyer in recognition for our prompt delivery, quality compliance, and contract fulfillment.
