It has the advantages of high light output, fast decay time, good radiation hardness, high density, high effective atomic numbers, high detection efficiency of Gamma rays, non-hydroscopicity and stable physical and chemical properties
The aboved mentioned properties mean that LYSO is an ideal candidate for a range of ray detection applications in nuclear physics and nuclear medicine, which require higher through improved timing resolution and energy resolution.
