▶ Sanghwang mushroom is classified as aphyllophorales, Hymenochaetaceae and Phellinus.
▶ It is medicinal mushroom that reseeds in broad-leaved trees such as Oak tree and it has been treated valuably from the past that the effect was recorded in ‘Principles and Practice of Eastern Medicine’, ‘Botanical List’, ‘Bonghwanglok’ and etc.
▶ Sanghwang mushroom has been sought by cancer patients because polysaccharide called 'beta-glucan slows down or even stops cancer metastasis.
