Kia’s Light Tactical Vehicle (KLTV) is the Korean Armed Forces’ first-ever multi purpose tactical vehicle, developed with a modular system that enables various versions including standard and long-wheel base along with armored and unarmored features.
Production of KLTV began in June 2016, with wide range of versions for tactical commanding & reconnaissance, field supports, etc.
Its key feature includes cutting-edge technology and military purpose specifications such as Euro 5 diesel engine with 225 horse power, 8 speed automatic transmission, 4 wheel drive gear box, independent suspension, air conditioning, no spin differential, run-flat tire and electro-magnetic interference.
Armored vehicle has been developed with an enhanced protection system that satisfies customer’s requested STANAG level and boasts much stronger competitiveness in mobility, protection and price among competitors under 7-ton gross weight vehicles.
