Basic Summary
Retort food is the one that is heated at a high temperature in a highly pressed iron pot for sterilization for commercial purpose. This food is processed in a way that cooked and processed food is filled up in film packages layered with plastic films and aluminum foils. The food pouches are then sealed up, pressed, heated for pasteurization, and cooled.
