Product Information
SiC is not melted at a high temperature, sublimated and decomposed at over 220°C and has excellent properties such as high thermal conductivity and hardness, comparatively low expansion coefficient and chemically stable property so it is widely used as refractories and abrasives. It is also superior to ceramics in oxidation-resistance, wear-resistance, corrosion-resistance and thermal shock resistance as well as high temperature properties. Especially it has such excellent mechanical properties as to maintain the ordinary temperature strength up to high temperature (400°C). It is applied to various nozzles and valve trims, materials for mechanical seal and bearing, materials for semi-conductor and fixture, tube for heat exchanger, bulletproof board, etc.
