DT-1618 ultrasonic humidifier
It's perfect, uses tap water, and emits a very fine cool mist of water vapor. The reservoir is large enough to easily last through the night but the unit is small enough to fit comfortably on my little night stand. It's almost silent with only a very faint gurgle every once in a while when water moves from the reservoir into the base.
