1. A health conscious alternative to asbestos and ceramic based textiles.
Silicaflex Silica Tape Wrap with Adhesive Backed is a slit silica tape constructed from 96% pure SiO2 silica fiber, coated one side with a pressure sensitive adhesive backing that facilitates installation. The adhesive decomposes at high temperatures, leaving a perfectly tape-wrapped hose, cable or pipe.
2. Designed for severe heat environments
Suitable for use at 1800°F (982°C), and able to withstand short term exposure up to 3000°F (1650°C), High Silica Tape with Pressure Sensitive Adhesive sets the standard for flexibility and minimum lineal shrinkage under high heat conditions.
3. Durability is further enhanced with a proprietary hydro-carbon coating, giving hydro-carbon coating give Silicaflex Silica Tape Wrap with Adhesive Backed unmatched abrasion resistance and tensile strength.
4. Weave is tight,but edge fray is possible with slit tapes.For non fray edges use a woven tape.
