Cold-rolled coil is obtained through ebll-type annealing of cold-rolled sheet before colling; after the annealing, the processing hardening and internal stress are eliminated ( considerably reduced ), that is, the yield strength has been lowered to that before cold rolling.
Cold rolling refers to the rolling in a recrystallized state, but is generally thought as the rolling of rolling materials at room temperature.
Since no heating is conducted in the production process, there is no pitting, oxide scale and other defects that are common in hot rolling and the cold-rolled coil has a good surface quality and high degree of finish. Moreover, the size precision of cold-rolled products is high, so their performance and organization can meet a number of special use requirements.
Cold rolling primarily use low carbon steel grades that require to have sound cold bending and welding performance and a certain stamping performance.
