The Multi Finger Splint supports the immobilization of the extended finger or finger joints as part of the treatment of finger-related injuries directed by a medical professional. The product is not designed to immobilize the finger/joint where flexion or hyperextension is required or where finger injuries extend to the MCP(metacarpophalangeal joint) and beyond.

Product Characteristics :

1.      Self-grip : Designed with foldable aluminum arms that wraps around the finger without external fixing materials such as Velcro, elastic bandage, gauze bandage or adhesive plaster. See Fiure 1.

2.  Comfort : Its foam padding provides comfort while wearing and its open design allows ventilation of the finger.

3.      Multi Finger Splint can be used on either hand and comes pre-molded in extended position in 5 different sizes, #1,#2,#3,#4 and #5, to support immobilization of different finger joints, phalanges and whole finger. The Complete Splint Set(Figure 2) allows you to tryout the different sizes for a matching fit.

4.      Figure 3 shows all splint sizes positioned with front and back end indicated, where the splint is worn with the front end facing the fingertip.

Direction For Use(Figure 4):

1.      Select a product size from the Box Set that covers the finger area to be immobilized.

2.      Idealy place the hand on a flat surface before inserting the splint through the finger or joint.

3.      Insert the atching splint onto the injured finger until it covers the intended area and gently fold down the arms to grip and secure it.

4.      The arms should be gently folded until the foam padding contacts the skin and the finger cannot wriggle freely in the splint. The arms should not grip the finger too tightly that it affects circulation or leave marks.

5.      Finger Splint product immobilize finger/joint in extension and should not be bent into a flexed or hyperextended position.
