Boelle is an art studio created by Sieun Lim and her husband, Seung-Hwan Kim. Sieun is a graduate of California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), and she currently works as an illustrator, art teacher, and picture book writer in South Korea. The Garden of Eden is the inspiration for Sieun’s illustrations. Sieun believes that even though life is full of suffering, the moments with her loving family and friends take her to Eden, a happy paradise. Her medium of choice is oil pastel because she loves its soft texture and bright colors. As Sieun’s goal is to create jewel-like illustrations, Seung-Hwan designs various products to display her artwork through accessories and stationery items. Out of their wish for people to live in the shining moments of Eden, Sieun and Seung-Hwan invite all to share in this happiness through the art of Boelle.
