Appearance: White lyophilizate in a colorless transparent vial that becomes clear and transparent when dissolved in physiological saline

What is BotuliA 100 Unit?
BotuliA 100 U is a Korean botulinum toxin that is made of highly-purified clostridium botulinum toxin type A. Liztox 100 U is used for the correction and preventive care of mimic wrinkles.
Characteristics of BotuliA 100 Unit
BotuliA 100 Unit is a Korean toxin that is used to temporarily improve moderate to severe glabellar lines related to the eyebrow wrinkle muscle (corrugator muscle) and/or the procerus muscle activity. BotuliA 100 U can also be used to correct other wrinkles on the face and neckline. The age group that can receive BotuliA 100 Unit treatment are adults aged 16 to 65. Since botulinum toxin is metabolized very fast by the organism, the effects become visible within 3 to 7 days after the procedure. Aesthetic effects last several months, depending on the individual’s metabolism.BotuliA 100 Unit should be dissolved in sterile, preservative-free 0.9% sodium chloride solution, after which it can be injected in the desired areas.
How to Use BotuliA 100 Unit
Preparation process before injection procedure using BotuliA 100 Unit
1. Take out BotuliA 100 Unit from the refrigerator
2. Before using BotuliA 100 Unit, check if there are any irregularities in the product’s appearance. This product is a white freeze-dried powder in a colorless and transparent vial
3. After filling an appropriate-sized needle with an appropriate amount of sterile, preservative-free 0.9% sodium chloride solution, slowly introduce the solution into the vial. Dilute to 100 U/2.5ml (4 U/0.1ml). Check the concentration using the following table.
4. BotuliA 100 U should only be mixed with sodium chloride solution. Do not mix with other types of solutions or products. If the product bubbles up or is strongly agitated, the product’s properties change or become denatured. Therefore, make sure to slowly introduce the sodium chloride solution
5. After BotuliA 100 U is dissolved in the sodium chloride solution, it should be injected into the patient within 24 hours. If the mixture is not injected into the patient immediately, store in the refrigerator at 2 ~ 8ºC. Even if the mixture is stored in the refrigerator, it should still be injected in the patient within 24 hours. Also, write on the label the date and time of when the product was dissolved. After dissolving, the product should be transparent, and should not contain any abnormal substances. If the product changes color or if foreign materials are detected, do not use this product and discard immediately.
6. BotuliA 100 U does not contain any preservatives. It is not recommended to use 1 vial for more than 1 patient. After usage, the remaining product should be discarded.
7. Since each botulinum toxin product may be manufactured with a different toxin unit, the toxin unit of one product cannot be converted to the unit of another product

How to administer BotuliA 100 U
To address glabellar lines (forehead wrinkles):
Using a 30 gauge needle, inject the dissolved product in the corrugator muscles and the procerus muscle (a total of 5 areas). 0.1ml of the product should be injected in each area, with a total of 20 U being injected.
When injecting into the inner corrugator supercilii muscle and the medial eyebrows, inject at least 1 cm from the edge of the eye. During injection, the needle should be aimed at the upper center, and the injection volume should be accurate. Careful attention should be paid to NOT inject BotuliA 100 U into the blood vessel. To prevent BotuliA 100 U from being injected into the blood vessel(exudation) below the orbital ridge, place the thumb or index finger below the orbital ridge prior to injection.
The corrugator muscle and the orbicularis oculi muscle move in the middle of the forehead to make glabellar folds on the face. The procerus muscle and the depressor supercilii muscle pull the forehead downward. These muscles create frown lines or wrinkles. Because the muscle position, muscle size, and use of muscle vary from person to person, the effective dose is determined by complete observation of the patient's ability to control the implanted surface muscles.
To address wrinkles around the eyes: Using a 30~33 gauge needle, administer 0.1ml(4U) each on 3 areas on one of the outer regions of the orbicularis oculi muscles (6 areas on both sides, total of 24 U).
Precautions when using BotuliA 100 U
BotuliA 100 U should be discarded as medical waste once it has passed the expiration date. If the toxin needs to be deactivated (e.g. when spilled out), use diluted hypochlorite(0.5% or 1%) before discarding it as medical waste. Also, products that have come in direct contact with BotuliA 100 U should also be discarded as medical waste.
BotuliA 100 U is not recommended to be injected frequently. Frequency should not exceed one treatment every 3 months.
The recommended dosage, frequency of treatment, and administration methods of BotuliA 100 U should be strictly followed. Certified professionals administering BotuliA 100 U should fully understand the relevant neuromuscular and/or orbital anatomy of the treatment area, and also any alterations to the anatomy that have occurred due to prior surgical procedures. DO NOT use BotuliA 100 Unit without a doctor’s prescription.
BotuliA 100 Unit and its effects may unintentionally spread and affect other areas and cause adverse symptoms. Symptoms may include asthenia, generalized muscle weakness, dysphonia, dysarthria, stuttering, urinary incontinence, breathing difficulties, dysphagia (swallowing difficulties), diplopia, blurred vision, and ptosis.
The following people SHOULD NOT receive BotuliA 100 Unit:
- Patients who have an allergic or hypersensitive reaction to the ingredients in this product
- Patients with neuromuscular junction disorders (dysfunction at the location where nerves connect with muscles), including Myasthenia gravis, Lambert-Eaton syndrome, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Using this product causes relaxation of the muscle, which can exacerbate the existing disorder.
- Patients who are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or are currently nursing mothers
- Patients below the age of 16
