1. What is Noise Barrier?

   “Noise Barrier” refers to a Barrier-type Structure that is installed for the purpose of Noise Reduction, and is classified into a Sound-Absorbing Sound Barrier and a Reflective Sound Barrier according to Sound Insulation Characteristics.

2. Scope of Application of Noise Barrier

    This standard applies to the installation and maintenance of Soundproof walls installed for the purpose of reducing Traffic Noise, and can be applied mutatis mutandis to the installation and maintenance of noise reduction facilities of factory, construction noise and other living noise.

1. Features of DW Noise Absorbing plates

1. DW Post and Base Plate for Noise Insulation Boards

    KSD 3503 General structural rolled steel should be suitable for SS400 or equivalent or higher, and its specifications      and dimensions conform to the structural design drawing, Post surface treatment is hot dip galvanized according to        KS D 9521, and zinc adhesion should be in accordance with KS D 8308 standard of 550g/㎡ or more.

4. DW Other materials

     4-1) Foundation Anchor Bolt and Nut :    

             The Foundation Anchor Bolt is an L-shaped steel bolt of KS B 1016, which must have a strength division of 4.6               or higher, and a nut having a strength division of 4T or higher, and must be hot-dip galvanized according to KS               D 8308 No.2 HDZ55.

     4-2) Rubber sheets, Plate springs, Spring clips, Wire ropes, Angles, Noise Attenuator, etc. must use materials that                 conform to the corresponding quality standards.
