Product Description
Carbon-Carbon Composites were mainly used for Aerospace Industry such as Aircraft Brake Discs, Gas Turbin Blades, Rocket Nozzles, Re-entry Space Shuttles. Now days, Carbon-Carbon Brake Discs are used for Formula 1 racing which requires extreme braking conditions. However Carbon-Carbon Brake Discs yield low coefficient of friction under the low temperature ( below 150℃) and wet condition. To overcome these performance issues, Carbon-Ceramic (C/SiC) Brake Discs are being used for passenger cars since year 2000. More cars are equipped with this high tech products and the market expands rapidly.
Carbon -Ceramic brake discs are 50% lighter than Iron brake discs thus they offer better fuel efficiency and drivability. The products have a lifetime of over 300,000km and have an excellent stable braking performance in high temperature and also 15% shorter braking distance than iron brake discs.
