Coke filter material description

Coke filter is bituminous coal in the absence of air is heated to 950-1050 DEG C, after drying, pyrolysis, melting, solidification, shrinkage, bond end made coke, a process called high temperature coking (high temperature carbonization), obtained by the high temperature of coking coke for blast furnace smelting, casting and gasification. The coke oven gas, which is produced in the process of coking, is not only a high calorific value fuel, but also an organic synthetic industrial raw material.

Coke filter material does not contain toxic and harmful substances, it does not dissolve in acid and neutral water, has strong anti compression and wear resistance, and has a large specific surface area and reasonable particle size distribution. As coke filter material has solid particle retention capacity, it can reliably improve the scavenging capacity of suspended particles, and is suitable for filtering drinking water and industrial water.

Use of coke filter material

Coke filter material is mainly used for blast furnace smelting of iron and copper, lead, zinc, titanium, mercury and other non-ferrous metals, and plays the role of reducing agent, heating agent and material column skeleton.

1）Coke is used instead of charcoal in iron smelting blast furnace. The coke (metallurgical coke) for smelting has the proper chemical and physical properties, including the thermal properties of the smelting process.

2）Coke is also used in foundry, chemical, carbide and ferroalloys in addition to iron smelting and non-ferrous metal smelting (metallurgical coke), and its quality requirements are different. Such as foundry coke, generally require large size, low porosity, high fixed carbon and low sulfur; chemical gasification, strict requirements for strength, but requires good response, high ash melting point; calcium carbide and coke production requirements to improve the fixed carbon content.

3）The coke filter material is bituminous coal, which is heated to 950-1050 degrees under the condition of air isolation, and is made through drying, pyrolysis, melting, bonding, curing, shrinkage and other stages. The coke filter material has the characteristics of high mechanical strength, reasonable porous structure, good adsorption performance, strong pollution cutting ability, fast filtration speed and long use cycle. The suspended solids in water are removed and water quality is purified. It is suitable for domestic water and industrial water treatment devices.
