Over View

The BC410C Series batch controllers use temperature correction to calculate the volumetric flow for liquids at standard reference conditions. The BC410C Series is ideally suited to custody transfer applications and includes the API/ASTM equations covering general petroleum products and LPG. The BC410C Series is direct RTD input or 4-20mA temperature input.

RS232/422/485

Batch Features

One or two stage valve control

Two output relays provide control for single or dual stage valve operation. The first relay(SV) will energize at the start of the batch, and de-energize when the batch is complete.

The second relay(MV) can be programmed to energize at a set time or set quantity after the start, and to de-energize at a set quantity prior to completion of the batch. this feature enables a slow start-up and slow shut-down of the flow. The Batch controller can also be programmed to count up from zero or down from the batch quantity.

Overrun Compensation

Based on previous batches, the BC400 series will automatically or manually compensate for any overrun that may be caused by slow closing valves.

Batch Limit

A maximum batch quantity can be programmed during set-up, so that the operator cannot enter a batch size that exceeds this limit.

Signal Time Out

If the flow signal cuts out midway through a batch, the output relays are de-ener\gized, and an alarm signaled via an open collector output.

Remote Start/ Stop/ Reset

Remote push-button switches can be connected to the rear terminal strip, to start, stop and reset batches.

Auto Restart

The BC400 series can be programmed to automatically restart the batch after a preset time delay.

Auto Reset

The Auto Reset function enables BC400 series to start without reset key operation. This feature can be used to batch process easily.

Auto Zero

The BC400 series can be used to zero the batch set volume to prevent overflow(over loading) from unexpected batch start. Once this feature programmed, users have to set batch volume after every batch completion.

Count Up/Down

The instrument can be programmed to count up from zero, or to count down from the batch quantity.

End of Batch

An End of Batch signal is provided via an open collector transistor output.
